Doug is a member of the Humboldt County Development Association, Humboldt county Community Foundation and the St. Mary's School Board. He has also served on the Iowa Banker's Ag Committee.

With over 32 years of AG Lending experience, Tom Maertens specializes in providing farmers financial services for agricultural operations. Tom started his career with the Bremer organization and also worked for Cobblestone Bank in Nebraska prior to coming to Spencer in 1983. Tom worked for Bank of America and US Bank in Spencer prior to joining Northwest Bank in 2006. Tom has served various community organizations. Currently, he is a member of Kiwanis, Clay County Bankers, Clay County Cattlemen's and Clay County Pork Producers. Tom is also Pork Quality Assurance Plus certified and involved with the Iowa State AG-Citing at the Clay County Fair.
