Northwest Bank Recognized as a Top Volume Lender in Iowa by the SBA

Northwest Bank has been recognized as a top lender in the state of Iowa by the U.S. Small Business Administration for Fiscal Year 2012, the agency announced today.
Northwest Bank approved 10 SBA guaranteed loans worth over $7.1 million to small businesses in Iowa.
“Small businesses are the foundation of our nation’s economy and helping small businesses get the financing they need to succeed is of vital importance,” said Joe Folsom, director of the SBA’s Des Moines District Office. “We’re pleased to work with lenders such as Northwest Bank in helping Iowa’s small business community to grow and prosper.”
John Taets, Regional Market President of Northwest Bank, commented, “We are proud of our relationship with the SBA. The SBA and its many programs allow us the opportunity to take care of our customers and their credit needs.”
Overall in Iowa, the SBA guaranteed 592 loans for $252.1 million during Fiscal Year 2012, which ended September 30, 2012.
