Northwest Bank calls for entries for the ABA Education Foundation’s Lights, Camera, Save! video contest. This competition encourages young people to use video to communicate the value of saving and inspire others to become lifelong savers. Lights, Camera, Save! is a part of the Teach Children to Save campaign, a national movement of volunteer bankers who guide young people towards lifelong savings habits. Since 1997, the campaign has reached some 5 million young people with the help of more than 100,000 banker volunteers.
Lights, Camera, Save! will allow teens to role play and record their thoughts about saving and using money wisely. It’s a way to get kids thinking about money management and its relevance to their lives and future.
The video contest encourages youth to use video to communicate the value of saving and inspire others to become smart money managers. The contest is meant to be fun and exciting but when all is said and done, the goal is teens will take action and start young to save more.
To participate, students must be between the ages of 13-18. Northwest Bank will host the first round of judging and will submit one winning video to compete on the national level. Students can win up to $5,000 to fund their savings goal, plus a scholarship for an educator from their school to attend the Jump$tart National Educator Conference.
