Don Nickerson, Regional Bank President of Northwest Bank in West Des Moines and Ankeny is pleased to announce that Richard Bergez has accepted the position as Bank President in Ankeny. Richard’s responsibilities include team development, coordinating bank involvement within the community and building lasting retail and business relationships.
Bergez received his bachelor’s degree in finance at Texas A & M University. Prior to joining Northwest Bank, he was employed at First American Bank in Baco Raton, FL where he led the commercial banking team.
Richard and his wife Loretta reside in Ankeny and have three grown children. Richard is deeply involved in the community and currently serves as treasurer for the Central Iowa Boy Scouts; is a volunteer fundraiser for Variety - the Children’s Charity’s annual telethon. His past involvement includes board chair for Living History Farms and Central Iowa Red Cross.
