Northwest Bank Breaks Ground on a New Location in Ankeny, IA

Ankeny, IA – With the symbolic first cut of the spade, Northwest Bank marked the official start of construction of a new bank location in Ankeny. The construction of this new 10,000 square foot facility has been designed by Robert Ormsby and his team at SVPA Architects.
“Northwest Bank has been part of the Ankeny community since 1998. At that time the population in Ankeny was just over 25,000 people. Today it is estimated to be near 60,000,” Don Nickerson, President of Northwest Bank in West Des Moines and Ankeny explained.
Nickerson continued by saying, “We have two locations in Ankeny and one in West Des Moines to serve the Des Moines Metro. The opportunity for us to share in the economic growth and to help fuel its continuation is very exciting.” Our new building will incorporate new technology and customer convenience to make the experience of banking with us extremely easy and positive. In addition, we will be highlighting the history of Ankeny with a mural on the history wall. The plan is to be in this building by mid-year, 2020.”
The new location will provide commercial banking, small business, construction, retail, mortgage, insurance and wealth management services. Northwest Bank will continue the operation of their bank at North Ankeny Blvd to provide a convenient location for residents in that part of Ankeny. The new location will be full service with a drive up ATM and a separate entrance into their Wealth Management group.
Nickerson finished by saying, “Northwest Bank values the important role and positive impact we have on the communities we serve.
