Northwest Bank Earns Top Workplace Award by the Des Moines Register for the Third Year in a Row!

Northwest Bank has been awarded a 2017 Top Workplaces honor by the Des Moines Register. The Top Workplaces are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by WorkplaceDynamics, LLC, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. Several aspects of workplace culture were measured, including Alignment, Execution, and Connection, just to name a few.

“The Top Workplaces award is not a popularity contest.” says Doug Claffey, CEO of WorkplaceDynamics. “But to be a Top Workplace, organizations must meet our strict standards for organizational health. And who better to ask about work life than the people who live the culture every day—the employees. Claffey adds, “Obviously, you have to treat people fairly and pay people well, but we find pay and benefits correlate least with employee engagement. Employees want to feel they are part of a greater mission. Fundamentally, we believe engaged employees drive productivity and results."

Greg Post, CEO and President of Northwest Bank commented, “Receiving the Top Workplaces award for three consecutive years is a fantastic honor. I’m proud to share that our organization is filled with talented employees who are given the opportunity to grow and develop their skills, encouraged to share ideas for process improvement, continually provide first class service and go out of their way to support and improve the communities in which we serve and live in. Our management’s focus is on attracting and retaining the best people to work for our company, which results in becoming an Employer of Choice. We ask ourselves, how can we add value to our employees and what do we do as a company that is unique? We look for people who are team-oriented, engaged and community focused, and who are interested in growing personally and professionally.”

Northwest Financial Corp. is a family owned organization led by Neal and Dwight Conover and includes two bank charters, Northwest Bank and First National Bank in Creston, and Northwest Wealth Management, LLC.  The organization employs 425 team members and focuses on the importance of supporting a good balance between work and personal life.
