Northwest Bank's Conover Completes Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers®

The Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC) is pleased to announce that Joe Conover, bank strategies officer, executive vice president, Northwest Bank, Arnolds Park, Iowa, has graduated from the Executive Development Institute for Community Bankers® (EDI), a rigorous 19-month leadership development program for up-and-coming executive officers of community banks.
Conover was one of 11 community bank executives from around the U.S. to be recognized for completing the program, which combines hands-on leadership development training with sophisticated bank management strategies to position community bank executives for long-term success.
EDI participants experienced expert coaching and mentoring by experienced bank CEOs, and completed a series of projects designed to improve their banks’ overall performance.
“The time and effort invested by these graduates to better themselves and their banks is significant,” said GSBC President Tim Koch. “Their communities should be proud to have leaders who are actively preparing for a successful future.”
An Iowa native, Joe has lived most of his life in the state. He graduated from Spencer High School in 1996 and earned a degree in business and finance from Cornell College in 2000. Conover added, “The best part of my job is seeing our customers succeed, whether a customer is adding a piece of manufacturing equipment that creates new jobs or purchasing a first car. It is very rewarding to play a role in making that success possible.”
