They have two daughters who are both attending the University of Iowa pursuing their degrees in the health field. Jame Christiansen brings 30 years of financial services experience to the Northwest Bank Team. Before joining Northwest Bank, he served as Regional Private Banking Manager at Wells Fargo. Jame is a graduate and member of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute.
With 20 years of financial services experience, Ralph DiCesare specializes in residential construction lending at Northwest Bank and previously held the same position with Union Planters Bank. Ralph serves as treasurer on the Board of Directors for the Des Moines Homebuilders Association, is an EMT/Firefighter for Warren County, and is active in the Knights of Columbus.
Dylan Lang graduated from the University of Iowa where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance. Prior to becoming a commercial lender, Dylan was with Northwest Bank as a commercial credit analyst. Dylan’s responsibilities include production of all business banking products such as business operating lines of credit, business equipment loans, small business loans, commercial real estate, and commercial deposits in the Des Moines market. Sharon has been in the financial services industry since 1986 and prior to joining Northwest Bank, spent 22 years with Wells Fargo Bank. Sharon has worked with Private Banking clients since 1993 offering her expertise in deposit, credit, mortgage, investment and retirement planning to help her clients reach financial success. Sharon received her BBA in Finance from The University of Iowa. Sharon is involved in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Animal Rescue League and Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Don Nickerson’s philosophy of client-centric banking permeates his leadership style and motivates his team to continue to grow Northwest Bank’s presence in Des Moines. Throughout his 29-year banking career, Don has held many prestigious positions. A supporter of the community, Don is actively involved in Variety Club and The United Way. He is the past president of the Des Moines Lions Club and the Clive Chamber and is a graduate of Leadership Iowa and the Des Moines Leadership Institute.

He is very active with Leadership Urbandale, the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce, Variety Club and sponsoring Entrepreneurs’ Organization of Des Moines, Business Development Breakfast Club and the Des Moines Network Breakfast Club. Matt earned his B.A. in Finance from the University of Northern Iowa and MBA from Iowa State University.
Vice president and commercial lender, Jill Thielen brings 26 years of financial services experience and expertise to Northwest Bank. Jill serves on the Board of the Faith Formation Council at St. Mary’s of Nazareth and is involved with the Johnston and West Des Moines Chamber of Commerce.
